I have a new recording of Adrift for your listening enjoyment on the works page. Performance was by a Disklavier equipped piano. For anybody who doesn't know what that means, a Disklavier is able to read a MIDI file via floppy disk and make the piano play the file. It sounds much more realistic than a MIDI piano patch because a real instrument is playing the piece. As convenient as it is to have essentially a piano robot play music for you, Disklaviers aren't likely to replace live performers anytime soon, as they still don't sound "human." As of now, I have submitted this piece to two or three different competitions, so with any luck I will have a human play it soon. Thanks for listening!
